Why I Almost Fought Last Halloween in Japan
In this article I'll talk about why I decided to no longer celebrate Halloween.

Halloween BEFORE 2019

Halloween BEFORE 2019
I'll admit, Halloween used to be one of my all-time FAVORITE holidays. ESPECIALLY while I was going to college. I loved getting to dress up, wear different make-up, and I just enjoyed getting the chance to be someone else for a night... Or two lol.

Not only did I like dressing up, but I liked to go out and party on Halloween. That was my favorite part. Everyone seemed jollier, and to be quite frank, crazier than normal. It's like we were all losing our minds for Halloween. There was a lot of drinking as well, of course.

I have to say I did enjoy it. I even liked going out my first time in Japan. I went to Shibuya which is where mostly everyone goes. It was basically like a big parade. It was nothing special for me though. The next year in Tokyo, I just went to a bar and had a lot more fun.

Now, last year is when things got a little tricky for me. I was so so so excited to go out for Halloween last year. Like more excited than usual. I bought a Madonna cone boob costume lol. I went out in the little town I'm in. There was surprisingly a lot of people out for Halloween.

I met a lot of people; I got a lot of compliments on my costume and everything. I even won the sexiest costume for the night, and I was having a lot of fun.... That is, until I wasn't. The night took a sour turn quite abruptly.

I met a gay guy from New Zealand, which was fine and dandy. But as soon as he sat next to me, he gave off an extremely NEGATIVE vibe. My friend and I were talking to some cute, little Philippian boys, we were just making conversation and having fun.

Suddenly, the New Zealand guy sits down BETWEEN the Philippian boys and us. He proceeds to ask me why I am talking to them. I was tipsy and I always try to remain polite, but I gave him a face like "what are you doing."

I tried to be nice and make conversation anyway though. That's how I found out where he was from. He asked me where I was from as well. I told him Kansas. He then proceeds to insult Kansas, my home state. I guess it wasn't quite up to his "standards". After that I just tried to ignore him until he went away. He eventually did.

My Unfortunate Series of Events

My Unfortunate Series of Events
I was at a karaoke bar for the Halloween party. There were only a few black people, but I was happy to meet them! None of them were from the United States though, which made me a little sad. I met some girls who I thought were nice. But they decided to sing a Kanye West song, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I was there.

Well, you probably know the rest. Yup, someone or someones’ decided to sing the n-word. No, they were not black. And since I was the only African American there, I was the only one there who said something or got offended. But they DEFINITELY got the memo. I was about to fight and go to jail.

That's exactly the reason why I have not been back to that bar and have no plans of ever going there again.

I don't have time to almost fight and go to jail. I'm still only a guest in Japan and going to jail in Japan is not something I'm willing to do. If the Caucasians want that bar to sing the n-word all day and night, then I'll go ahead and let them have it. As an adult you can choose what environments you want to be in. And I’ve clearly made my decision.

Still More Bad Luck Followed?

Still More Bad Luck Followed?
I only had a few drinks at the bar. HOWEVER, I got extremely EXTREMELY sick. It was the strangest hangover I had ever had... If I genuinely want to call it that. I got sick that same night. I was feeling strange in the morning. I got up though and went out to a cafe. I felt so strange though. My stomach just didn't feel right.

I had a fever, and my throat was hurting so badly. I coughed up some bad phlegm. To this day, I'm convinced that I was poisoned or that someone put a curse on me. I had never felt like that after drinking before. Of course, I've had hangovers, but this was soooo different from any hangover I've felt before.

Why as A Christian You Should Give Up Halloween

Why as A Christian You Should Give Up Halloween
I know that Halloween is considered a "fun" holiday. But this "holiday" has some very wicked origins. Halloween is particularly important for satinist and witches. They use it to cast the most powerful spells.

Not only that, but I have heard that when handing out candy, they pray over it. Casting spells and then you and your child eat the candy.

I did dress up and celebrate this year, only for my job. However, I believe this will be my LAST Halloween. I do not want to give any evil spirits, or evil people any ideas regarding where my loyalties lie. I want to say to be careful of Halloween. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Christianity, don't let anyone fool you. It is a holiday for satan alone.

Sorry for my intenseness, but I want to warn you. Last year was a very strange Halloween for me, but now I think I know why. Good luck with staying healthy and safe during this time. See you again soon!
